My Philosophy:
My philosophy is based on my commitment to helping my clients find the best home for their lifestyle.
This begins
with active listening. Every member of a family has wants and needs that have to be satisfied and, to find a home
that suits the whole family, you have to get input from everyone. No issue is too small, and all have to be
considered.
I also find it very important to have knowledge of the marketplace. Anyone can search on the Multiple Listing
Service computer and pick potential homes from a database, but that’s not market knowledge. It’s very important
to preview the listings, walk new construction homes in the frame stage, then preview, and preview again. You
can’t possibly find the best home for your clients if you don’t know the properties currently on the market.
Families come to realtors for professional help in finding a home, and one of the first things that they expect of
us is that we know the market. I attend weekly caravans, preview properties regularly, and keep up-to-date on the
important issues surrounding subdivisions, builders, schools, traffic, shopping and any of the other questions
that clients often ask me.
When it comes to listing a property I feel it is very important to compare pricing among the properties in the
area of the home to be listed, so I can help my client find the best price. Having listings is one thing, but if
they don’t sell, you have helped no one. If you really know the market, you can price a property correctly. It
is also important to stage the property for sale. This means helping show the home in its best light so that
potential buyers can visualize the features of the home. Homeowners need their agent to give them all of the
information necessary to successfully sell their home; This includes what needs to be done to make the home show
best as well as knowing what potential buyers expect when looking at homes. This is where my experience is of the
most value to my sellers.
Our real estate transactions are multi-faceted and have many requirements for a successful close. I can’t do
all of the details myself, so I have a team of dedicated associates to help me. We handle everything from
scheduling inspections and getting repairs done to making sure the financing moves along swiftly and properly. It
takes close supervision to keep the closings on track, as well as meeting all deadlines and time frames head on.
My clients feel confident that someone is always available to them when they need something. Contracts are
complex, dates are important, and commitments must be kept. After all, I am dealing with more than money—my new
friends are going to live here.
